Plumbing Workshop

The Plumbing Department equips trainees with practical skills for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Key offerings include:
   

Core Curriculum:

Pipe fitting, soldering, drainage systems, water supply installation, fixture repair (sinks, toilets, showers), blueprint reading, and safety codes (e.g., IPC or local standards).
   

Hands-On Training:

Workshop-based practice with tools like pipe cutters, torches, pressure testers, and simulated plumbing setups; often includes live projects like mock bathrooms.
   

Duration & Certification:

Typically 6-12 months, leading to nationally recognized credentials (e.g., CBETCDACC Level 4/5, apprenticeships).
   

Career Outcomes:

Prepares for roles as plumbers, pipefitters, or maintenance technicians; emphasizes green plumbing (e.g., water conservation, solar systems).
Focuses on employability through industry partnerships and on-site work experience.

Duration: 6 – 12 months (depending on CBET level or NITA grade)
Approximate Fees: KSh 25,000 – 35,000 per year (subject to change; includes tuition and basic materials)
Entry Requirements: KCSE Grade E and above or KCPE certificate (or equivalent). Prior learning and experience (RPL) are considered and encouraged. Open to school leavers and mature students.
