The Masonry Department provides hands-on training in bricklaying, stonework, and concrete construction for building trades. Key offerings include:
Core Curriculum:
Brick/block laying, plastering, concreting, formwork, mortar mixing, blueprint reading, and safety standards .Hands-On Training:
On-site workshops with practical builds like walls, arches, and foundations using local materials; tool proficiency (trowels, levels, mixers).Duration & Certification:
6-12 months, leading to TVET Authority or KNEC artisan/masonry certificates, CDACC/ CBET pathways.Career Outcomes:
Prepares for jobs as masons, site supervisors, or contractors in Kenya's booming construction sector; includes self-employment training.
Focuses on quality finishes, durability, and sustainable building techniques suited to East African climates.
Duration: 6 – 12 months (CBET Levels 3 & 4 or NITA)
